I saw Mary and Max a long time ago, but never said anything about it. I saw it again today. What I should have said before is that this is a great film. It’s funny, short, and entertaining, but it’s also maybe the best effort I’ve seen at exploring friendship, love, hate, bigotry, mental illness, and a bunch of other heavy themes that often individually warrant and require an entire movie’s worth of exploration. What I’m saying is, I didn’t say that before, but I’m saying that now.
